Before submitting your first CBE application, you must attend a Pre-Certification Orientation at DSLBD’s Enhanced Business Information Center (e-BIC) at Martin Luther King Jr. Library, 901 G Street, NW, Washington, DC. The bi-weekly workshops give previously uncertified business representatives detailed instructions on how to complete CBE applications. These orientations ensure that you will understand the process and do it correctly, which is important because the agency does not accept and will not work with incomplete applications.

 

In eliminating the potential for error, these mandatory orientations allow DSLBD’s certification staff to process the application more efficiently and make a determination regarding certification status within 45 business days.
